Assumption Developmental Series Race 1
At Tom Sawyer Park BMX Area

We will plan to race anyone who is not scheduled to compete on Saturday at the Tiger Run. This 2 Mile Race will be a great situation for our newer runners. The series features relatively small races with other new and developing runners.

We will have a bus departing from Eastern at 2:40 for practice. Athletes may ride that bus and wait at the park or may join us at Tom Sawyer (BMX Area) at least 1:15 before their race time.

HS Boys JV race (2 mi) 5:30 pm top 30 finishers
HS Girls JV race (2 mi) 6:00 pm top 30 finishers

Here are some details from the meet director:
1. It’ll be 2 miles, basically 2 loops around the fields by the BMX track.
2. Just a reminder – please make sure none of your parents/athletes park on the grass. It’s a condition of our using this facility.
3. As always, we appreciate any help with cleaning the area up after the meet ends.
4. We’ll only have a JV race for boys and JV race for girls.

From Meet director:
It’s supposed to heat up next week, so I’ll be watching the forecast over the weekend. If we make any changes, then I’ll let everyone know asap. If any change is necessary, then it’s likely to be related to avoiding some of the potential heat – in which case, we might bump the start times back. Of course, that’s only if we need to do something for the expected safety of the athletes.
