Athletes and Familes,
We have a big weekend ahead of us and I thank you in advance for all of the hard work you will do over the next two days. We have close to 5000 athletes scheduled to compete including over 100 teams in the HS/MS/Elementary division from 7 states. The college meet also features over 200 college teams.
Expectations for Athletes
We are relying on our athletes to do much of the event management on Friday. Athletes should report by 3pm on Friday and duties should conclude soon after the final race on Friday.
We are also relying on our athletes to help us with cleanup after their races conclude on Saturday. With all of our team working together we should be able to finish all clean-up quickly.
Parents
Thanks to everyone who has signed up to help. If you have not signed up yet, please do. This is a MASSIVE effort and all hands make it go much more smoothly.

We may need to re-assign some people as we have open slots that are higher priority so I appreciate your flexibility.

Parking & Admissions Explanations:
I will post a detailed explanation of how the parking and admission operation works a little later on Thursday evening. I’ll update this soon and re-post on TeamApp.

The finish line is mostly helping athletes get the chips clipped from their shoes and getting water to the athletes. Younger siblings can also be a big help in this area if they can handle scissors and cups of water (late elementary ages – middle school).
The finish line is the area we are most likely to pull from for other duties. If you are assigned to work the finish line on Friday and would be willing to help in the parking lots at the beginning of the shift during the busiest arrival time if would be HUGELY helpful.
I know we have lots of new families this year, please do not hesitate to ask questions by commenting on this post, by emailing michael.horan@jefferson.kyschools.us, or texting Horan 502-807-1165.
